Gate codes and access notes

Accurate access details are the single biggest factor in services going smoothly — especially at gated communities and rentals. Under our Terms of Service, you are responsible for a reasonably safe property, current access information, and telling guests that a third-party Swooper will be there on trash day.

What to include

  • Gate or community codes needed to enter.
  • Where the cans are kept, so they’re taken out from and returned to the right spot.
  • Any special instructions — side gates, lock combinations, or pet notes.

Keep them current

When a code changes, update it in the Portal right away so your Swoopers always have what they need. Out-of-date codes are the most common reason a service can’t be completed.

Tell your guests

If the property is a short-term or vacation rental, you must tell guests before check-in that trash-day can service is handled by a third party (Swoop) who is authorized to be on the property. Put it in the listing, the house manual, or check-in instructions — don’t leave guests to guess why someone is moving the cans. Keep pets secured and paths clear during service windows.

Once access details are set, you’re ready to schedule and track service.
