Swoop Community Guidelines
Version: 2026-07-15 Effective Date: 2026-07-15
These Community Guidelines describe the conduct standards that apply to everyone using the Swoop platform. For contractors, they state end-result and conduct requirements that exist for customer safety, property protection, and legal compliance. They do not direct how a contractor performs services — the manner, means, methods, and scheduling of work remain entirely within each contractor’s control.
1. Respect Every Person
Treat customers, residents, neighbors, and everyone you encounter with courtesy and respect. Harassment, discrimination, threats, intimidation, and abusive language or behavior — whether based on race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, disability, or any other characteristic, or for any other reason — are never acceptable and violate both this policy and applicable law.
2. Property Is Private
Customers grant access to their property for one purpose: moving their trash cans.
- Touch trash cans only. Do not touch, move, or open anything else on the property.
- Never enter garages, homes, or fenced/enclosed areas — even if a can is inside one. If a can is inaccessible, skip the job and report it in the app.
- Gate codes and access instructions are confidential. Use them only to complete the job they were provided for, never record or share them, and do not retain them after the job.
These rules protect customers’ safety, privacy, and property, and reflect legal boundaries on entering private premises.
3. Communicate Through the App Only
All communication with customers must go through the Swoop platform. Do not contact customers by personal phone, text, email, social media, or in any other off-platform channel, and do not solicit or retain customers’ personal contact information. This protects customers’ privacy and creates a reliable record if a dispute or safety issue arises.
4. Accurate Service Completion
Completion records must be honest. Completion photos must truthfully show the actual work performed, at the actual property, at the actual time of service. Submitting staged, reused, altered, or misleading photos or records is fraud and is grounds for deactivation under the Deactivation Policy.
These Guidelines describe what outcome customers are entitled to and the legal and safety boundaries that apply — not how to do the work. Violations are handled exclusively under the Swoop Deactivation Policy, including its written-notice and appeal protections.
